“I developed an interest in flowers and plants in my formative years, My Father was a keen gardener and every Sunday my Mother and I would enjoy arranging vases of flowers we had picked from the garden. Later I started to enter flower arranging competitions and enjoyed arranging flowers for the school hall and the headmistresses table. At 15 my Father sat me down and asked me what my career aspirations were……”Dad, I want to arrange flowers”

I was hungry for knowledge and experience in the world of flower arranging. I graduated from the Welsh College of Horticulture where I got the opportunity to work for a top London florist dealing with clients such as The Beverly Sisters and Spike Milligan, making arrangement using everything from feathers to champagne!

In 1986 I proudly opened Tropicana; I got my first order for £90 and rushed to the bank clutching the cheque. Many years later we’re still going strong with over 8,000 displays around the country and still no job is too big or small. We have built up an excellent relationship with all our clients and always enjoy welcoming new companies into the Tropicana family.”
